Share 30 years of Doug Varone and Dancers with three works representing our past, present, and future. Our highly anticipated BAM season features a major revival of the Philip Glass-scored Possession (1994); our latest work folded, set to music by Julia Wolfe; and the NYC premiere of ReComposed, inspired by abstract expressionist Joan Mitchell’s pastel drawings and set to the crescendos of Michael Gordon’s Dystopia.
In 30 years, we’ve created over 80 dances, taught over 2,500 students, and brought award-winning dances to tens of thousands of fans in over 125 cities around the world. Now it’s time to celebrate our most important achievement to date – 30 years of sharing work with you.
